Electrical

Electrical installations and alterations operating at equal or greater than 1kV will need to complete a Level 1 First Pass assessment – Conservative compliance criteria as per AS 4853 – 2012. The completed report must be submitted to ATCO Engineering Services for assessment. (See Section 5.10.2 Electrical Equipment)

Scope of Work Details

Consider including information related to the following where appropriate:
  • Concise works method statement of the proposed scope of works (Dot points)
  • Depths of any excavations (including directional drilling).
  • Description of any compaction methods.
  • Changes to existing ground levels or surface material.
  • Electrical substations, high-voltage power lines or any other electrical sources that may create hazardous electrical conditions on ATCO Gas infrastructure - see Section 5.10.2
  • Landscaping/Vegetation planting and removal; tree species, depths of tree roots and method of removal.
  • Description of any hot works; hot work permit, proximity to gas infrastructure, lengths of exposed gas infrastructure, method of hot works including wet or cold cutting.
